Eduardo “Guayo” Gomez, better known by his neighbors and friends as Don Guayo, has been working in coffee decades but typically put his coffee into community lots marketed as the indigenous term "Hunapu."

In 2013, Don Guayo began to work with different exporters and importers that celebrated his individual quality and consistency, encouraging him to keep his coffee separate from the community lots.

Don Guayo has since invited his neighbors along the volcanic slopes of Antigua into the same line of thinking, allowing for premium pricing and expanding growth.
